I am Malala- the girl who stood up for education and was shot by Taliban

I come from a country that was created at midnight. When I almost died it was just after midday.

This is a biography of the Pakistani girl, who stood up & refused to be silenced and fought for her right to education, when the tyrant and bĂȘte noire Taliban took control of the swat valley in Pakistan. It reveals the courage of single person to change the world.

This book starts from her childhood memories then describes about her father, who is her only ideal and support where she is today. Second part is about her life struggle under Taliban rule. Then it comes to third part where she was shot by Taliban on her way back to home.Part four tells about Malala’s journey into the unknown’s that is Birmingham, England and her miraculous recovery.
In short, it is wonderful and easy to read and it's best.

Why I love this book?

This book made me say ‘my_bookshelf_says_yes!’ I used to carry it everywhere & stayed up late just because I have to finish this book.
I Am Malala will make you believe in the power of one person's voice to inspire change in the world. The money spent on guns, if given to a child’s education can change that child’s life. We are fighting for a world where every child has an education that allows her to have dreams as big as Malala's.

This book inspired me to go for more biographies because reading someone’s life story helps you to get motivated & encourage you to do better every second. My positivity level just go on rising after each page…..the way she fought against the Taliban, her miraculous recovery and her positivity is a true inspiration for anyone. I urge everyone to prioritise education because education is the only way through which we can defeat terrorism poverty and bring peace and prosperity.

Lastly, it is remarkable story of a girl fighting for girl’s education in a society that prizes sons.Education is one of the strongest gifts we can give to a human being.
